Russia’s ALROSA diamond miner decided to relocate its March auctions from Hong Kong to other sites, corporate website reports. An auction for special size rough diamonds will take place in Moscow while Ramat Gan (Israel) will host a polished diamond auction.
“ALROSA is a regular participant of a major jewelry fair in Hong Kong. Every year, we hold auctions and tenders for rough and polished diamonds there. This year, the organizers decided to postpone the spring fair until the second half of May. Our company has adjusted its business plans respectively, and relocated two auctions scheduled for March fair,” Evgeny Agureev, Deputy CEO of ALROSA, commented.
Annually, ALROSA holds four auctions in Hong Kong for special size rough diamonds and two polished diamond tenders.
