On the sidelines of Startup Village 2019 in Moscow, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Skolkovo Foundation and Italian Trade Agency (ITA), as well as an agreement between Skolkovo and Confartiginia to Imprese Vicenza on support and promotion of innovations.
The memorandum signed by Arkady Dvorkovich, Chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation, and Pierre Pablo Celeste, General Manager of the Italian Trade Agency, sets out priority areas for experience, knowledge, methodology and tools exchange, such as science, IT and telecommunications, power industry and renewable technologies.
The agreement between Skolkovo Foundation and Venetian Confartiginia to Imprese Vicenza, one of Italy’s leading ecosystems, is focused on cooperation with national and international organizations, and on mutual promotion of innovations that improve and simplify the operation of the said organizations. Both Russia and Italy are striving to develop their regions aiming to strengthen the role of local entrepreneurship. It was signed by Arkady Dvorkovich, Chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation, and Pietro Francesco de Lotto, General Manager of Confartiginia to Imprese Vicenza.
According to Dvorkovich, “Innovations exchange is the only right step because companies operating both in Russian and Italian business environment at the same time must build up their activities on the basis of both Russian and Italian technologies. Our companies want to enter the Italian market, and the Italian companies are attracted to the Russian market. And I believe Russian companies have a very good prospect for it. The developments I see at Startup Village will definitely be in demand in Europe as well as in Italy.”
As Pasquale Terracciano, Italian Ambassador to Moscow, noted, “This is a wonderful day for the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Embassy in Russia. This is the result of a long journey, two years of persistent work. Signing this Agreement is a great honor for us, and we promise to increase the number of innovative companies and strengthen our efficient joint cooperation.”
