A liquid pesticide plant has opened in the Alabuga special economic zone (Tatarstan).
The project is operated by Avgust, Russia’s largest plant protection agents. The plant is the company’s second largest investment project in the region accounting for over RUR 4.5 bln ($71.4 mln). It is expected that the plant will produce 50 mln of liquid pesticides per year, which is approximately one third of the Russian market.
Company representatives say the production facility is unique as it comprises a full cycle, including packaging production and bottling. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the Avgust-Alabuga opening ceremony.
