45% of Russians take part in draws, as they would like to win an apartment, car or a large cash prize. At the same time, only 22% believe in the possibility of such a win. This is evidenced by a survey of the financial marketplace Sravni.
During the survey, a third of respondents (33%) reported that they had never participated in draws and lotteries. A little less, 30% of respondents, sometimes try their luck in prize draws from companies whose services they use. 26% of survey participants buy lottery tickets, another 4% try to take part in all competitions that they learn about, or participate just in creative competitions.
Almost half of the respondents (45%) participate in lotteries or draws in order to win a prize that will significantly improve their financial situation, for example, dream of winning an apartment, car or a large amount of money. 37% of respondents participate for the sake of interest or for entertainment. Another 18% of survey participants indicated that they take part in draws, if it does not require much effort, since they do not want to miss the chance to get even a small souvenir.
At the same time, 41% of respondents are sure that some small gift only can be won in a lottery or drawing. 37% of respondents do not believe in the possibility of winning at all. Only 22% of survey participants believe that with a random choice, you can still get a large prize.
In Russia, the largest amount thanks to the lottery was won by a resident of the Moscow region Nadezhda Bartosh – the winnings amounted to 1 billion rubles. This happened at the end of 2020.
