In most cases, fraudsters steal money from Russians’ bank cards using the means of social engineering, said Deputy Head of the Bank of Russia Dmitry Skobelkin.
According to Skobelkin, frauds often exploit the trust of the clients: they deceive them and trick them into giving access to the client’s bank account.
Last year, the Bank of Russia held over 170 inspections of the reliability of cybersecurity at various banks. Dmitry Skobelkin added that more banks are currently exchanging information about the existing cyber threats, Rossiyskaya Gazeta daily reports.
