Russian billionaires continue to get richer and now possess 83% of all personal wealth in the country. The American rich are not as powerful and own only 76% of the country’s total personal wealth.
Credit Suisse conducted a survey into the life of wealthy people. For wealth concentration, Russia outran even the United States where the statistics has traditionally been very high. Russia is also ahead of China where 10% of the richest people hold 60% of the country’s wealth.
This year Russia will get more new millionaires, reaching a total number of 246K people, compared to 14K in 2010. There are fewer billionaires in Russia – however, 110 people is a decent number as well, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports. Currently, almost 47 mio people in the world have a net worth of over $1 mio.
