Rybinsk has joined the fight against the coronavirus. The city, located in the Yaroslavl Region, will manufacture microcentrifuge tubes used to diagnose COVID-19.
Eppendorf conical safe-lock tubes with a capacity of 0.2 ml to 5 ml will be produced in large volumes: up to 1.4 mio tubes per week.
The project will be implemented by the Rybinsk Instrument-Making Plant. It received a subsidized loan worth RUR 27 mio ($381K) from the Industrial Development Fund.
