COVID-19 epidemic to slow down in June – expert

The number of coronavirus patients will start to decrease as soon as June and July, according to the Russian Healthcare Ministry’s off-staff epidemiologist Nikolai Briko.

The doctor noted that in Moscow the epidemic may slow down but it requires taking further precautions. We may expect the turning point in May or even late April. The number of cases will first spike and then decline.

Nikolai Briko predicts that the situation will stabilize in summer, around June or July, TASS reports. The epidemiologist added that the epidemic is not so fast-spreading as in Moscow and the other regions are two or three weeks behind the capital.
