Czech Exim Bank and Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation are ready to support high-quality and well-prepared business projects in Azerbaijan, Trend news agency reports.
The Czech Republic is Azerbaijan’s fifth largest trade partner and the ninth largest foreign investor. Czech companies invested over $2.5 bln in Azerbaijan between 2006 and 2018, mainly in modernizing its transport infrastructure. Over the same period, investments from Azerbaijan to the Czech Republic amounted to $80 mio.
Currently, there are 25 companies with Czech capital in Azerbaijan. Bilateral trade in January-July 2019 was $473 mio, of which $394.3 mio were Azerbaijani exports to the Czech Republic.
