Samara Region Governor Dmitry Azarov and CEO of Danone Russia Charlie Cappetti have signed a cooperation agreement. They agreed to implement the second phase of a major modernization project at the Samaralacto dairy plant, adding a facility to produce innovative dairy products.
After the modernization, the Samara plant will become the world’s most cutting-edge facility in its kind and will have the Danone innovation center status. The upgrade began more than five years ago and will be completed next year. Investment in the project will exceed RUR 4 bln ($ 61.5 mio).
