“We are actively advancing digital forensics and testing domestic software solutions for data analysis,” head of the committee Alexander Bastrykin said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Digital forensics is a rapidly evolving field where experts employ cutting-edge technologies to investigate online crimes, such as bank card fraud, identity theft, and other types of digital offenses, explained Arsen Akopyan, founder of the project Piera, which combats fraudulent call centers, in an interview with Invest Foresight.

“These professionals carry out complex investigations, reconstructing the sequence of events that led to a crime by analyzing digital traces — data from computer systems, mobile phones, social media, and other sources. Through methods like log and traffic analysis, experts can trace the origin of an attack, identify vulnerabilities, and track down the perpetrators,” the expert explains.
