Kaliningrad’s AVTOTOR plant (manufactured 2 mio BMW, KIA and Hyundai cars since 1997) has signed a contract with German concern Dürr to design a new facility as part of the implementation of a special investment contract.
The contract includes the design of a new production facility as an integrated system that comprises products, process, equipment, logistics, buildings, utility lines and IT. The future plant will manufacture 50K cars per year at two production lines with the annual capacity of 25K cars each.
The new plant could be launched as soon as 2020.
