Russia may plunge into a deep crisis if a strict quarantine is imposed, according to representatives of the Association of Russian Economic Think Tanks (ARETT).

Economists have spoken out against a strict quarantine. They claim it will lead to a serious socioeconomic crisis, RBC reports.

Experts suggest that the new crisis may linger on and its actual scale is underestimated. The government is not taking enough action to prevent it, ARETT representatives believe.

Economists suggest that officials must build a dialogue with the business community and develop a package of support measures. The services sector and SMEs will suffer most from the new crisis.
