A new shop at the Vyksa Steel Works in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 186 kilometers from the region’s capital, will provide jobs to 1K people.
This has become possible due to the implementation of a large investment project: the launch of a new shop to produce electric resistance welded (ERW) pipes.
A total of RUR 20 bln ($279 mio) was invested in the project.
The shop will produce driving and tubing pipes, plus pipes for oil and gas pipelines, and is expected to reach projected capacity in 2022.
