Experts name Russia’s most livable cities

Krasnodar tops the list of Russia’s most comfortable cities to live in, according to the experts from the Urbanika Institute.

St. Petersburg also secured a leading place on the ranking – it is in fifth place. Both St. Petersburg and Krasnodar are comfortable and inexpensive to live in. Surgut, Tyumen and Kaluga are also among the five most comfortable and inexpensive urban environments. Living in several million-plus cities including Perm, Chelyabinsk and Krasnoyarsk is also affordable and comfortable, according to the Urbanika study.

As for the Russian capital, Moscow is 52nd on the ranking due to overly expensive housing as well as poor environmental performance and heavy traffic.
