Doctors, builders and car dealers made the most money during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a survey by Avito Rabota analytical center.
As of the second quarter of 2020, the average monthly salary in Russia reached RUR 41.5K ($583). The highest-paid jobs during the pandemic were in the construction sector with RUR 59.8K ($840).
Car dealers were also making good money with an average monthly salary of RUR 47.6K, according to the Izvestia daily.
Doctors’ wages were also above average amid the pandemic. The government provided them will additional payments, and their average monthly salary reached RUR 45.2K.
The list of highest-paid jobs also includes fitness trainers. During the pandemic, they were left out of work, but after the lockdown this industry showed an explosive growth. The average monthly salary of fitness coaches reached RUR 43.8K.
Experts also analyzed regional differences and said that the residents of the four largest cities – Moscow, St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Kazan – have enjoyed the highest wages.
