Cameras installed in the screening rooms, feed images of the faces to a neural network which analyzes the number of people present, their age, sex and other parameters. This way, cinemas can monitor attendance, avoid loosing revenues and being fined by film providers for failing to accurately register the audience. Audience analysis will help cinemas in their targeted advertizing and in movies selection.

Rambler Group pioneered in this respect having designed a system of its own which is now being tested in its Cinema Park and Formula Kino chains of cinemas. Experts believe that many companies will start employing Artificial Intelligence to analyze their audience.
