Gas fields in Tomsk Region receive new infrastructure

The Tomsk Region has received new infrastructure for the production, transportation and processing of natural gas; a total of RUR 6.7 bln ($105 mio) was allocated for the implementation of the project.

Gazpromneft-Vostok has launched new infrastructure facilities in the north of the region, at the Yuzhno-Pudinsky block with the Urmanskoye and Archinskoye fields.

Among them is a gas booster station which increases gas pressure upstream of the gas turbine unit, and a high pressure gas pipeline for dispensing gas between the Urmanskoye and Shinginskoye fields. In addition, there are vacuum compressor stations for oil processing at the Urmanskoye and Archinskoye fields where oil will be purified, cleaned of solid objects, water and hydrocarbon gases.

It is noteworthy that the launch of new facilities will increase gas production volume by 300%. The project will also have a positive effect on the environment: 95% of associated petroleum gas will be utilized.

Due to the launch of the new infrastructure, the fields will produce up to 400 mio cubic meters of gas per year.
