GOODWOOD MEDICAL CARE will manufacture wooden dishes in Pskov

The Chinese company GOODWOOD MEDICAL CARE plans to build a plant for the production of disposable wooden dishes from hardwood veneer in the Moglino special economic zone in the Pskov Region. The company is building its first facility in Russia, mainly to manufacture disposable tableware and cutlery from birch.

“Until Russia bans disposable plastic dishes, our main consumers will be European countries, where the use of plastic is now restricted. These products are very much in demand there, and billions of such dishes are needed,” said Vladimir Tovpinets, a company representative.

The production will be practically waste-free; the dishes are to be made from locally available materials. Preliminary wood supply agreements have already been concluded with several loggers in the region.
