The new ecosystem will integrate all the information systems available at government agencies involved in monitoring and oversight activities, Kommersant reports.

Analytical processing of this information will take place in real time throughout the country.

How effective it will be is a difficult question, — economist Sergei Khestanov, Associate Professor at RANEPA. — Technically — yes. China’s example shows it is quite possible. Acceptance by society is far more questionable. The Chinese have accepted total digital control. How Russians will react is not yet clear. I wonder to what extent Russians will be like Chinese in terms of their perception of regulation.”

Many government decisions of recent years were clearly inspired by the Chinese example, the expert emphasized.
