The opening ceremony of the Haier RUS high-tech industrial park with the first plant manufacturing washing machines took place in Naberezhnye Chelny, Republic of Tatarstan.
The industrial park will accommodate high-tech facilities for manufacturing Haier home appliances, an R&D center, as well as a logistics terminal to export products to Europe.
Haier will manufacture watching machines, television sets, fridges and other freezing equipment, as well as electric kitchen appliances; there will also be metal sheet processing plants, polystyrene items production facilities, and others.
The industrial park covers 1.277K sq m. The company plans to attract a total of $1 bln in investments and create 5K jobs. The plant’s capacity is 500K units per year. The planned capacity after the modernization and the launch of a new production line will be 1 mio units per year.
