High-tech facility launched in Bryansk

A plant manufacturing transistors and microchips for smartphones, laptops and other equipment has opened in Bryansk.

The products will be supplied to the state corporations Roscosmos, Rosatom, Radio Concern Vega, Almaz-Antey, Sozvezdiye and Aviariborostroeniye. As a result, the share of foreign manufacturers in the market for these high-tech products will fall from 95% to 30%. The project is being implemented by Kremny EL Group. In 2017, Russia’s Industry Development Fund issued a RUR 200 mio ($3.1 mio) loan to the company.

“Kremny EL has launched serial production of transistors and microcircuits of 500 nanometers design standard in small polymer cases of SOT-23, SOT-89 type for surface mounting in Bryansk. These products are used in secondary power supply units for radio-electronic equipment,” the company reported. “More than RUR 1 bln ($15.7 mio) was invested in the project, of which RUR 200 mio was contributed as a three-year Industry Development Fund loan at 1% per annum as part of the Conversion program.”
