Russian high-wing light military transport aircraft Ilyushin Il-112 will make its second flight next April, Yury Grudinin, CEO of Ilyushin Aviation Complex, announced. The flight will be performed at the site of the company branch in Voronezh where serial production of the aircraft will be launched in 2022.
Design works for Il-112 commenced back in 2002. It performed its first flight in March 2019, and last June manufacturing of the third and fourth Il-112s started.
