One must be very cautious when investing in emerging markets; investing in bonds in Russia is possible but risky, says Alexander Dushkin, asset manager at the International Fund of Private Investment.
According to the expert, many are saying that Russia is coming out of the recession, but it is probably a mistake. There are currently no reasons for the commodity market to grow.
Therefore, Alexander Dushkin says, one must be very cautious when investing in emerging markets. He added that the global economy might face more challenges than expected, BFM.ru news portal reports. Therefore, investing in bonds might be not such a good idea.
At the same time, there are high-yield bonds but they require investing rubles, which is also a risk, the expert concluded.
