Italian company opens in Lipetsk

An Italian plant opened in the Lipetsk special economic area. The plant will produce world-class cast aluminum radiators and wall-hung boilers.

The project is supervised by Fondital. It is the first enterprise set up outside its home country for the company – and its most state-of-the-art facility. Fondital has operated in the heating market for almost 50 years.

Construction of the Italian plant started in 2015. The total area of the facility is 100,000 square meters, including indoor facilities on 16,000 square meters. The project required investment in the amount of EUR 20 mio.

“The plant was built within a very short term, with expenses optimized as much as possible. The company is a reliable supplier which we can be sure of. Therefore, we urge our local companies to cooperate with it,” Deputy Governor of the region Ilya Tuzov commented. “The plant is only 20 minutes away from the city. Customers can always go there and check upon their orders.”

“Considering the high quality of products and significant financial opportunities of the Italian company it could take over a big share of the Russian market,” economist Dmitry Afanasyev believes. “The general demand for these products remains high because private housing construction is on the rise.”
