Kursk Region to launch two livestock production facilities

Implementation of a large-scale livestock and dairy cattle breeding investment project has started in two neighboring counties in Russia’s Kursk Region.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in the Dmitriyevsky county, where the first facility will be built with a capacity of 12,500 head of livestock.

The work to construct a similar complex, with the 3,534 head capacity, has also started in the neighboring Zheleznogorsk county.

The investment project requires substantial finances, with the two facilities’ overall cost totaling over RUR14 bln ($196.8 mio).
