Verkhnevolzhsky SMC, part of the Dipos group of companies, has opened a welded steel bar grating production facility in the central Russian Ivanovo Region.
This durable, easy to use and attractive-looking material is used in construction (as flooring for observation decks and racks), in industry, landscaping and other areas. Oil and gas producers buy it for their own needs, as well as construction, automotive, fuel and energy, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering companies.
With its new high-tech line with a robotic framing area from the Austrian company EVG installed, the new plant’s capacity will reach 1,000 tons per month. Investment in the project, supported by Russia’s Industrial Development Fund, exceeded RUR1 bln ($15.3 mio), half of the amount provided by the fund.
