The lockdown in Russia will bring results in a week’s time, said Vladimir Kutyrev, director of the Microbe Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute of the Russian Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor).
According to Kutyrev, it will soon be clear whether the number of non-working days should be reduced.
Vladikit Kutyrev emphasized that at the moment, coronavirus cases are growing exponentially. However, the lockdown will bring results, and they will be seen in a week given the incubation period, Interfax news agency reports. The virologist added that limiting social contact is the only way to overcome the epidemic.
