Lockdown yields positive results – Russian Healthcare Ministry

Self-isolation has contributed to the attempts to flatten the curve of the epidemic in Moscow, said Healthcare Minister Mikhail Murashko.

According to Murashko, the adopted measures have proven to be effective and prevented the explosive growth of new coronavirus cases in the city. The growth in the number of severe cases has also been slowed down.

The minister noted that it is important to seek medical assistance during the epidemic. Doctors have more information than patients who try to self-medicate, RBC news agency reports.

Moscow was put on high alert on March 5.
