As many as 2,774 new cases of the novel coronavirus have been recorded in Russia over the past 24 hours; an increase in the number of patients occurred in 51 regions.
Most cases are in Moscow where 1,489 people contracted COVID-19, the Emergency Response Center reports. The Moscow Region ranks second with 460 new cases, followed by St. Petersburg with 121 new patients, RIA Novosti reports. As many as 22 people with coronavirus died.
Overall, there are 21,000 of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia.
