Starting April 15, road police will inspect all car drivers entering Moscow, as an additional measure to prevent the coronavirus.

Police will be making sure all drivers planning to enter the city have permits. OMON special task forces will also be deployed at the entries to Moscow.

City officials already warned Muscovites about possible difficulties with entering the city. Drivers and their passengers must have digital permits. Drivers without permits may get a fine of RUR 5K ($67), TASS reports.

Eyewitnesses report that some lanes are already blocked at the approaches to the city and cars have to squeeze into two or three lanes.
