MTS has created an IoT surveillance device – a telemetry module to be sewn into workers’ overalls to monitor occupational safety.
The new device will make production safer, Vedomosti writes quoting a source at MTS. Management will be able to monitor the work of their employees remotely. The device will be track where each employee is and transmit the information via Wi-Fi, so that their superiors can monitor online what their subordinates are doing. The device can be equipped with an alarm button and even a heart rate monitor.
The invention has already been tested in agriculture, engineering and construction – the industries where employees face greater occupational hazards.
