Concern Kalashnikov weapons manufacturer presented its new assault rifle which can use NATO rounds, Kalashnikov Media reports.

The new rifle is based on the earlier AK103, the export version of the legendary assault rifle, which uses NATO ammunition. АК103 used 5.56×45 mm rounds while the new rifle uses a larger, 7.62×51 mm, rounds. АК308 has aperture sights and folding adjustable stock, as well as a bayonet which can be attached. In this regard it is not different from the initial AK47 designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov in 1947.
