A new national project devoted to tourism may appear in Russia, said OPORA Russia president Alexander Kalinin.
According to Kalinin, it will be the 14th national project in Russia. The project, currently being developed by the Government, will be devoted to domestic and international tourism.
It is expected that the project will include co-financing of tour operators’ expenses. In addition, it will introduce electronic visas for foreigners and make domestic travel cheaper.
According to Izvestia daily, the national project may be launched in 2021 and will require RUR 80 bln ($1.2 bln) annually.
