New Year’s proms have become trendy among Russian companies again. A few years ago, many companies opted to forgo major celebrations, but this year, the number of corporate events will triple, according to Catery’s forecasts.
The average cost of corporate parties will also increase by approximately 10%. Some companies began booking venues as early as in October; however, the largest number of bookings will be made in the period from mid to late December. Banks, IT companies, pharmaceuticals and consulting firms have the largest budgets for corporate events.
One of the largest employers in Russia, Sberbank, said each of its branches will organize their New Year’s proms independently. Other large companies do not comment on their increased corporate event budgets, Kommersant writes. Economists believe their average check growth to be a sign of economic stabilization.
