Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant II increases capacity

The Belgorod energy system is now receiving more electrical energy: the Stary Oskol substation with a projected capacity of 500 kV managed to produce up to 1.3 GW from the Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant II.

The increased capacity is the result of the launch of the second power line chain Donskaya-Stary Oskol, with a capacity of 500 kV.

The power line was built in 2019 in order to provide electrical energy distribution from a nuclear power plant in the Voronezh Region.

Total investment in the project is about RUR 6.3 mio ($80K).
