
Okko online cinema has launched Okkobro, a chatbot that provides users with a promotional code for a free 14-day Optimum subscriptions pack for those who had to or wanted to isolate themselves at home, Sberbank’s website reports.
By writing to the bot about one’s cancelled plans and by attaching a photo to prove that one is at home (it can be a selfie, any home object or even a pet), one can get a promotional code for a free 14-day pack Optimum subscriptions. After inputting the promotional code, users will have access to 25K content pieces, including (Not)Perfect Man, an exclusive premier of Okko, Oscar winning Parasite, the fourth season of Mr. Robot series, TED lectures, classical music concerts, cartoon series and movies, and many other entertainment and educational programs.
As Yana Bardintseva, CEO at Okko, said, “We wish everyone good health and hope that Okkobro will put in a better mood the users who had to cancel their plans due to the isolation period, while movies, series and lectures on Okko will help you spend time productively and enjoy it.”
Okko multimedia service is one of the largest Russian VoD services, a leader by a paid monetization model. The project was launched in 2011 and today it is available on all key platforms, such as Smart TV, mobile (iOS and Android), Apple TV, PlayStation 4, web (PC). Okko monthly audience is 2.8 mio people. In 2019, Okko turnover increased by 96% to RUR 4.9 bln, compared to RUR 2.5 bln in 2018. Since its launch in 2011, more than 33 mio users have created accounts with the service.
