An animal farm of an unprecedented scale for European Russia was built in the Ryazan Region.
The breeding center boasts not only a huge number of livestock that it can keep, which is 6,000 animals at a time. The farm is also unique for having facilities equipped for raising dairy cattle, with a capacity of 7,800 calves.
It is estimated that the mega farm required an investment of RUR 4.5 bln ($72 mio). The opening ceremony was attended by Ryazan Region Governor Nikolai Lyubimov, thus attesting to the scale and importance of the facility for the region.
