
Most Russian citizens (58%) are going to work during the upcoming New Year holidays, experts of the Rabota.ru service said.
In previous years, about 40% of Russian citizens were reported working on the New Year holidays, most of them being service industry workers. Some of them chose to work on days off to make extra income.
Interestingly, 22% of employees who will work on the upcoming holidays will do so in the five-day workweek regime. Another 26% will work in shifts, while 25% said they will work under a flexible schedule, the Izvestiya newspaper reported. Most of those who will be working are delivery persons, cashiers, waiters, and drivers.
