Robots will make oatmeal in Kaluga

Oat flakes will now be packaged by robots at a Kaluga Region plant.

The Russky Produkt plant in the village of Detchino, Maloyaroslavets County, Kaluga Region, has launched a robotic conveyer to produce and package oat flakes.

The plant has been there for years, and it definitely needed an upgrade. Moreover, the robotic equipment installed at the core of the new facility has no analogues in Russia. It is also unique in capacity – about 40K tons of products per year. The overall modernization and the new production line cost RUR 170 mio ($2.7 mio); the head of the region, Anatoly Artamonov, attended the launching ceremony.
