The document was signed in the presence of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic Giuseppe Conte by Igor Sechin, CEO of Rosneft, and Paolo Nardi, Managing Director of Pietro Fiorentini.

The new agreement is aimed at the development of technological cooperation between the companies, which began in May 2017. The document provides for additional pilot tests of equipment that measure the volume of hydrocarbons produced (multiphase flow meters of wet gas) and high integrity pressure protection systems against high pressure «HIPPS» produced by Pietro Fiorentini. If the pilot trials prove to be successful, the parties will consider the prospects for further cooperation in localizing the production of measurement equipment, as well as other products and services that may be of interest to Rosneft.

The first trials of the multiphase flow meter were carried out at one of the Company’s oil and gas fields in the winter of 2017-2018 and confirmed the performance of the equipment.

Pietro Fiorentini S.p.A is a world leader in high-tech equipment in the Italian industry, that develops, designs and manufactures products and plants for control, metering, and conditioning of natural oil and gas.
