Rostov to produce thermal imagers

A facility to manufacture thermal cameras, non-contact devices that create an image using infrared radiation, will be launched in the city of Rostov in Russia’s Yaroslavl Region in August.

The first pilot batch has already been produced at the Rostov Optical and Mechanical Plant following the efforts to modernize the enterprise and part of its utility networks. The launch of the new facility will make a considerable contribution to tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project implementation required a total of RUR 103.3 mio ($1.5 mio) provided as a concessional loan by the Industrial Dvelopment Fund, with a loan period of two years.
