Russia and Indonesia to strengthen cooperation

The Roscongress Foundation and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a cooperation agreement, Roscongress’ press service reports. The signing was held in conjunction with the 12th meeting of the Russian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation. 

The document was signed by the Chairman and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation, Alexander Stuglev, and the Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shinta Kamdani. The two sides agreed on cooperation in the sphere of establishing effective communication between expert communities and business and political circles of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Indonesia.

“It is important to expand and strengthen business relations between Russia and Indonesia on all levels. The signed document will enable us to develop communication between the two countries and implement joint projects, both bilateral and multilateral, in particular forums, conferences, round tables, and business meetings. It will help potential business representatives from both countries to fully realize their potential and enter large and promising markets,” said Alexander Stuglev after the signing.

The agreement envisages cooperation in the development of shared communication platforms at the international level in order to stimulate engagement between business organizations, and to maintain dialogue on cooperation in the fields of investment, import and exports, tourism, and cultural interaction. In addition, joint convention and exhibition events with an economic and social focus are also planned in Russia and abroad.
