Russia is interested in joint projects with Philippines

Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev had a meeting with President of the Republic of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte in Moscow, to discuss various aspects of cooperation in investment and trade, and humanitarian contacts, government website reported.

Bilateral relations “Have continued at a good pace,” Medvedev said at the meeting. “The trade has almost doubled over the past 18 months. The goal now is to consolidate these trends. Russia is interested in more joint projects in a variety of areas, including energy, industry, transport infrastructure, agriculture, and various cultural projects.”

The two countries, as Duterte noted, “Are striving to expand and promote cooperation in trade, investment, defense, energy, science and technology, as well as other areas, and want to consolidate current progress and see a firm commitment by both sides to further enhance their relations.”
