Russia is increasing cooperation with Asian countries in the field of labor resources. The Union of International Trading Houses (UITH), which includes companies from Russia, Thailand, Cambodia, India and Bangladesh, is developing new directions – attracting qualified specialists from India and Vietnam, as well as developing the tourist flow between Russia and Cambodia.
UITH President Roman Malinovsky told Invest-Foresight that the Union already has two labor departments – in Vietnam and India.
“We estimate the result not by the number of signed memoranda, but by the launch of real supplies and projects. Today, the Russian industry is growing at a high rate, and it is severely lacking qualified personnel – welders, concrete workers, masons, specialists for production enterprises,” he stressed.
According to him, Russia uses several regimes for attracting foreign labor: quotas, accelerated registration for highly qualified specialists and a special procedure for hiring in popular specialties. The union also solves the language barrier problem.
“We created a training center for teaching the Russian language and ensured that in Vietnam the study of Russian became mandatory for those who go to work in Russia. This is our great achievement,” Roman Malinovsky noted.
