Russian Armed Forces will soon be equipped with hypersonic and laser weapons, according to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
“Since 2013, the share of modern weapons in the Russian army has increased by 180% and reached 64% in the total arsenal by the beginning of 2019. In the nearest future, the army and the navy will be equipped with brand-new and unique weapons based on the hypersound and laser technologies,” the minister said stressing that the first models have already been placed on standby alert.
