Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Culture have issued recommendations for movie theaters’ operation during the pandemic. The new social distancing rules require at least a 1 meter distance to the next visitor in the auditorium.
Also, cinemas are advised to sell popcorn only through vending machines, rather than over a regular counter. A half-hour interval will be made between the showings to disinfect the room.
Customers will be asked to wear facemasks. They will be seated at a distance of at least 1 meter from each other, Kommersant reports. According to Rospotrebnadzor, compliance with the new hygiene and distancing rules should reduce the risk of contracting the coronavirus at the cinema.
