Russian ischemia test developer among global top 10 in Riyadh

Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, hosted the global EWC competition for entrepreneurs. A Russian company called DRD ended up among the world’s top 10. It was earlier listed among a hundred winners of the Russian national leg of the competition, the Skolkovo Foundation website announced.

DRD has developed a new test system to diagnose chronic brain ischemia, which was registered for use in Russia earlier this year.

It was Canada-based NERv Technology that walked away with the EWC Cup this year.

The competition consisted of several legs. Initially, 102,000 start-up companies from 187 countries contended for top positions in their respective national legs. When the national legs were over, 100 that had withstood the rigor were ready for the final.

The final battle took place in Riyadh. The top 10 vied for the Super-Cup, and each had to pitch its project for three minutes. This contest produced the winner.
