Russian PM announces construction of gambling zone in Yalta

A gambling site covering an area of 146K sq.m. will appear in Yalta. A relevant instruction was given by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Casino lovers will not have to go to the Far East or leave Russia anymore. The Golden Coast gambling site will be built on the Crimean Peninsula, Interfax news agency reports. The local authorities have already begun demolishing unfinished buildings to replace them with casinos.

According to government officials, the new gambling zone in Crimea will create new jobs, increase tourist flow and bring additional tax revenue to the regional budget. In the nearest future, a new operator of the site will be selected. The winner will implement the project and begin to pay taxes.

Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov said earlier that the gambling area will attract foreigners and rich people.
