Russians begin to invest in stocks during the pandemic

Russians began to invest more in securities during the crisis caused by the coronavirus outbreak, experts from the Romir holding believe.

According to the survey, the majority of Russians are not even trying to protect their savings in any way – as many as 78% of Russians admitted they have done nothing to protect their savings. Perhaps they simply have no savings to protect.

Another reason is their low financial literacy – people don’t seem to have any clue about how to invest or where to go, FederalPress reports.

Meanwhile, 22% said they decided to take steps to preserve their savings. In March, many bought foreign currency and household appliances. And now they began to buy securities.

More than a third of Russians say their financial situation has now become worse than it was before.
